- Custom Orders -
All custom orders must be placed 15 days in advance. For small custom orders (3 dozen and less), orders are to be paid in full at the time of ordering. For custom large orders (4 dozen or more), we require a 50% non-refundable deposit due at the time of placing your order to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 5 days prior to your scheduled delivery date. Payment may be paid in full when booking. Other terms apply for wedding orders - please reach out for details.
It is highly recommended to place your order as far in advance as possible so that we can guarantee availability. Please keep in mind that schedules tend to fill up around holidays and other popular occasions that are seasonal (graduation, wedding season, etc.).
- Online Orders -
All regular online orders must be placed 7 days in advance, however order quantities of 5 dozen or more must be placed 15 days in advance. Online orders are to be paid in full at the time of ordering. Please request a booking date with us prior to placing an online order. In the event that you place and pay for an order online without booking and we are unavailable to fulfill your order, your order will be rejected, you will be fully refunded, and we will kindly contact you to see if we can reschedule your cupcake order for another date.
- Late Orders -
We will try our best to be accommodating to late orders but it is crucial that we have an ample amount of time to order any custom materials and/or ingredients and bake/decorate your order. Orders made beyond these time frames may be limited to options dependent upon requests and it is very possible that Julia Nikolaus Cupcakery & Co. may not be able to fulfill the order.
Order changes for online orders which do not impact the price or which increase the price will be considered at least 5 days in advance to the scheduled delivery date, provided that any increase is paid at the time of the change. Order changes for custom orders which do not impact the price or which increase the price will be considered at least 9 days in advance prior to the scheduled delivery date, provided that any increase will be added to your final invoice which is due 5 days before delivery. Any changes made beyond these day limits will not be accepted. No exceptions.
Changes to an order which result in a reduction in the price must be made at least 5 days in advance to the scheduled delivery date for online orders and at least 9 days in advance for custom orders. For online orders, your order will be fully refunded and a new order must be placed. For custom orders, in excess of the non-refundable deposit, any decreasing order amount will be subtracted from the final payment due.
Due to our baking schedule and ingredient/material ordering, any custom order cancellations must occur a minimum of 8 days before scheduled delivery time and for online orders, 4 days prior to your scheduled delivery time.
Any order canceled within the 8 days (custom orders) or 4 days (online orders) prior to delivery are subject to full charge of the placed order. Please understand that each order spot reserved is dedicated to the customer who holds it to ensure that your order is properly planned, baked, and decorated. We are unable to unbake, undecorate, and reverse the time spent on your order.
DELIVERY & PICK-UP POLICY
We deliver up to a 20 mile radius from Columbia, PA. Our delivery fees start at $5 for a 1-5 mile radius. Thereafter, we charge $1 per mile. Exceptions on the 20 mile delivery radius may be made for wedding bookings.
We also offer pick-up options if you would like to opt out of delivery. Pick-up day and time availability is listed on our contact page but must be arranged with the Owner prior.
Julia Nikolaus Cupcakery & Co. is not responsible for anything that may happen to your order (drops, etc.) after pick-up or satisfactory delivery. The client assumes full responsibility for the condition of the cupcake order once it leaves our hands and possession.
We hope that each of our customers are fully satisfied with the products that they purchase. In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your order, please let us know and we will be happy to make it right. These situations are handled on a case-by-case basis, but please note that we do not provide refunds as all sales are final. However, we will fix mistakes or provide a coupon/discount towards a future purchase.
